What is Scala Sports ?
Scala Sports is an Amsterdam-based startup that offers a competition platform for all racquet sports. Players can join competitions in their area and play when it suits them. Scala Sports also provides white label solutions for the Royal Netherlands Lawn Tennis Association (KNLTB), the umbrella organisation for tennis and padel sports in the Netherlands.
How it Started
We took Scala's existing product and transformed it into a full white-label SaaS solution, enabling the organisation to expand beyond the Netherlands.
We built the backend team and provided native mobile developers for iOS and Android. Our dedicated product manager and QA helped them plan their sprints and improve the quality of their product.
What we Built

Setup a dedicated team of native mobile developers and backend engineers. They also had their dedicated PM and a QA.

The backend was moved from a monolithic to a microservices-based architecture to support expansion across multiple regions.

Both the iOS and Android apps were transformed into white-label solutions that allowed them to create unique experiences for different associations.

Now we are continuing to improve the product for future expansion into other sports such as Padel.
